Chhapor Veng, MAC.TAX, EA
Chhapor is a versatile tax and accounting practitioner with experience in corporate and individual tax. She helps both low income and high-net-worth clients simplify their financial goals. Whether providing strategic business structure advice, mitigating tax implications for employee stock options, or optimizing complex individual federal and multi-state returns, Chhapor is fully committed to achieving top results for her clients. She values quality over quantity and personal attention to clients. She goes the extra mile to prepare additional tax forms to get every possible tax credit, deduction, and/or penalty waiver for her clients. Before starting her own business, she earned customer satisfaction awards for consistently saving her clients time and money.
In her 8 years as a tax accountant for public accounting firms, she has built a strong knowledge of state and local tax regulations, corporations, s-corporations, sole proprietorships, partnerships, non-profit organizations, and international business expansion. She’s processed returns for high-net-worth clients, stock options and investments in partnerships, real estate, and corporations. She also has managed the entire estate tax process for deceased taxpayers.
In addition to her tax background, Chhapor has 17 years of experience as an accountant. She’s handled the full cycle of accounting duties — including processing day-to-day transactions, payroll, sales tax, revenues, expenses, fixed assets, and liabilities — for tech companies, real estate firms, restaurants, small shops, and non-profit organizations. She’s highly adept at unraveling tangled books and verifying balance sheets.
Chhapor’s also worked in the insurance industry as a premium auditor. She audited payroll and gross sales revenues for technology firms, investment banks, venture capital investment firms, construction companies, real estate firms, property investment firms, advertising agencies, restaurants, and grocery stores. She deepened her analytical and client service skills by helping business owners save on workers compensation and liability insurance costs.
Chhapor holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting with a concentration in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She also holds an Accounting Certificate from City College of San Francisco. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from the National University of Management in her native Cambodia.
Currently, Chhapor is a licensed enrolled agent. Like an attorney or certified public accountant, she can represent anyone before the IRS on any matter relating to taxation, collection, or appeals.
With her combination of tax, accounting, and audit experience, Chhapor offers valuable knowledge on how to save clients money on business and individual tax returns.
